The Second Church building is an
adaptation of English Gothic design called Tudor or collegiate
Gothic. It is built of Hummelstown Brownstone (Pennsylvania
Brownstone), the building material once so popular for the homes along
Fifth Avenue in New York City.
The overall dimensions of the
building are 165 x 108 feet. The roof is of green tile.
The church tower is a copy of
the Magdalene Tower of Oxford University, Oxford, England.

Thank you
to Lois Hasenauer for providing the terrific picture!

The 8th Street
entrance to the church clearly shows the green tile roof and
one of our favorite stained glass windows - Jesus with the
Children.
